Social Media Playbook

What to Tweet and What to Post?

A social media playbook is a reference guide that will help your social media team (or person, or you!), know how to respond to posts in a way that makes you sound great.  Simply put, it’s the what, where, and when of your social media policy.  Each company’s playbook is different, so we work with you to create a policy that you can manage over the long term, and also one that can grow as your company grows, and as your social media needs change

Social Media Company Policy

Does your company have a comprehensive social media policy that provides your staff with guidelines about what’s appropriate, and inappropriate, to post on their personal social media pages?  If not, your company could be exposed to significant risk.

Your employees are on Facebook, and they’re posting things about themselves that may involve your company, or others within your company, or maybe even your clients.  Without a written social media policy in place, there’s not much you can do to manage what your employees say.  The risk of being without a social media policy could leave your clients insulted which could cost you business, or, depending on the nature of your company, you could find an employee’s tweet to make your company the subject of the 6 o’clock news.  Don’t let this happen.

A comprehensive social media policy protects you and your staff from mis-guided social media postings by clearly outlining what is and is not appropriate.  Your employees have an obligation to represent your company in a positive light at all times.  A social media policy will show them exactly how they can do that, and will provide you with the tools necessary to help enforce that message.
